Gunner & Paige

Among the most daring challenge I’ve undertaken is creating a portrait on a glass lamp. Here is a duel portrait of Gunner, “almost 12”, and eight-year-old Paige . They are my grandchildren. My design sketch evolved after I’d  converted their photos first into line drawings. These I then converted into portraits in the constructionist tradition. When I asked Gunner if this image should look like him, he answered yes. Shown is the second of multiple glaze overlays, I am several color overlays away from asking that question again.
