Art Glass Lamps
At Schilling Glass® multiple layers of powder coating are applied to glass cylinders. Without using fluids, each color is applied electrostatic-ally and separately heat-cured. Before each new layer is added, prior layers are masked with heat resistant tape. Developed by myself, these techniques enable me to create one-of-a-kind, original art glass pieces. My palette includes clear glass. The encircling glass enables images that recombine and transform. Lighted from within by an LED, each piece becomes a lamp that projects a tapestry of images, colors, and shadows.
