$550.00On this lamp I reveal the energy source that makes frogs suddenly leap and croak ’till dawn. When kids fly around, frogs snatch them out of air like bugs. So frogs are bulging with the exuberance of kids at play. Bight orange eyes bulge above the frog’s body which is splashed in colors of tan, lime and forest green.

Persephone
$650.00Persephone emerged as I added flowers to curls encircling the surface of a glass cylinder. As the queen of the underworld, she regulates the seasons on earth’s surface and thus the life and death of all vegetation. In the spring, plants sprout from the soil to live and grow. In the fall, they die and sink down in death.

Our dog walker came to be a friend. As a frequent visitor, my work drew her interest. After an exchange of service, creating a lamp that she conceived seemed the best way to express my gratitude. More than dogs, she loves cats. Frolicking under wisteria was her idea of a perfect setting.

Cat Full of Fish
$360.00Who would come up with this? At grade school, awards are given for art and my seven year old took a prize for the drawing that’s shown. For the lamp, I used seven separate layers of powder glaze. Each a different color. All the fish are in clear glass. Below a deep blue rim full of clear glass bubble, the cat now inside the aquarium, stares out at us.
