    Star Birth

    $175.00

My grandchild asked, “Where do stars come from?” Star Birth is my response. Glistening in a light blue base, stars begin as bright sparkles in clear glass. When evening becomes a red sunset, these sparkles rise and join with each other. From there, they ascend into a black night sky as full-grown stars. Here they shine for billions of years.

    Volcano

    $175.00

Inspired by the shades and colors found on raku pottery, I explored the limitations of powder glaze for my creations on glass. Results display a dynamic, even emotional topography. Topped with a transparent gold cloud, over a red underlayer, Volcano is glazed in glossy black flecked with metallic specks. With splotches in clear glass and bold red dashes Volcano projects an alien tapestry.

    Moonlight

    $175.00

Three small black fishing boats float beside moonlight ripples on a dark, blue-green river. Clouds ascend in the night sky. The lighted masts appear beyond a patch of bent reeds with clear glass highlights. This lamp evokes the serenity of calm water at nighttime.
